We need families to be a vital part of our CMS community, so we will do our best to keep you informed! We rely on parents to read and check the following resources to stay in touch with the news, happenings, and student learning and events going on at CMS

Methods of Communication With Families

THE CMS WEBSITE The CMS Website is the heart of our communications platform with parents. We strive to provide all the resources you need, from parent information such as "Important Announcements", teacher contact information to important resources that help familiarize you with our philosophies like Growth Mindset, CREW programming and our Habits of A Scholar. Take a little time to familiarize yourself with all the resources on these pages. MONTHLY E-NEWSLETTERS CMS sends home a monthly paper newsletter with students. This resource highlights upcoming events, important news, volunteer opportunities, and more. If you do not receive this email regularly, please update your email address with the front office. You can always view an archive of our e-newsletters on our website as well, which are posted in English and Spanish. TEACHERS Grade level teams will send out information directly to their students and/ or parents by email monthly. Please feel free to reach out to teachers by phone during non-class hours or via email at any time. Teachers update the online grade book halfway through the quarter and at the end of each quarter. Teachers also may post assignments, grades and other information on Schoology, which your student will know how to access. ONLINE CALENDAR Wondering what time to show up for the band concert, accountability meeting or sports event? Check the online calendar as the most reliable source of information on what's happening at CMS. FACEBOOK The CMS Facebook Page was designed to share with families interesting and fun examples of student learning and culture. REMIND Newly adopted Remind app is being used to send instant messages between families, teachers, students and administration.
